Business Development Manager (Marketing & Sales)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a strategic business development specialist with excellent leadership and problem-solving skills to oversee and manage company growth strategies and financial goals. You will review, improve and maintain the Company’s growth and communication strategies, and be an active participant in the company’s operational management. You will be a key player inside the development and expansion roadmap, providing the data and insight needed to inform strategic decisions about the company’s capacity and plans for growth. You have excellent communication skills, financial prowess and a strong network within the film, media & entertainment industry in Canada. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in a senior business development role, with exposure to investment & funding strategies and sources.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identifying the company’s growth potential, new development opportunities and client leads.
  • Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth.
  • Researching, planning, and implementing new target market initiatives.
  • Attending networking events, industry markets and sales meetings as a company representative, building long-term relationships and expanding the company network.
  • Developing proposals and pitch decks, delivering presentations, and preparing service agreements during client onboarding.
  • Supporting Finance and Operations with identifying and pursuing partnership and sponsorship leads, leading pitches and writing funding/grant applications.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business or Finance.
  • 5+ years in a senior business development/sales/growth strategies role.
  • Experience/exposure in film & media or entertainment; understanding of film/media financing, sponsorship, etc.
  • Ability to think analytically and strategize growth and efficiency.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, supportive way with cross-functional teams.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently.
