TORONTO— April 26, 2022 — Toronto-based production company The Other End is now the official Canadian partner of PhaseSpace Inc., the world’s leading tracking solution and motion capture company. The partnership makes The Other End the first virtual production company in Canada to use PhaseSpace’s state-of-the-art Impulse X2E tracking system, giving producers and creators access to the fastest real-time motion capture system in the world.

Billed as the world’s fastest, most flexible optical capture system, the Impulse X2E provides real-time tracking of multiple subjects and objects. It has a capture rate of up to 960 frames per second at full 13MP resolution. In HDR, (1,300 MP) its customized linear detectors allow it to capture at a 36,000 x 36,000 sub-pixel resolution⸺roughly 100 times the resolution of most motion capture cameras.

As part of the partnership, The Other End and PhaseSpace will continue to support each other in the ongoing innovation and refinement of virtual production workflows.
